Misconceptions about square dancing. 

• Square Dancing is not what you remember from your high school gym class.
• All square dance music is not just country. Dancers also bow to their partners while listening to gospel, rap, medleys of Elvis Presley & Beach Boy songs, and music from the 40's to the 90's.
• You don't have to come with a partner.
• It does NOT take forever to learn to square dance. You will be dancing the first evening.

• It provides great mental and physical exercise.
• Club activities provide an opportunity to meet many new friends.
• It's up to you how much you want to be involved..., you can dance as little or as much as you want.
• Square dance callers provide great entertainment.
• Once you learn how to square dance, you can dance any place in the world, even in Japan. The moves (calls) are all the same and they are in English.
